Overview

SQMD is designed to be local-first and privacy-focused. We do not operate servers that collect your deck data, and we do not monetize through advertising or tracking.

This Privacy Policy explains what SQMD does (and does not) do with information.

TL;DR

  • We don’t collect your data. SQMD does not transmit your gameplay logs, deck notes, or media to us.
  • We don’t track you. No analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no cross-app tracking.
  • Your data stays with you. Data is stored on your device and synced across your Apple devices via iCloud.

What SQMD Stores

SQMD stores the information you enter into the app, which may include:

  • Deck metadata (names, colors, optional deck URL)
  • Side Quests and quest results
  • Game/Entry history and notes
  • Achievements/progress derived from your entries
  • Optional photos you attach to entries (e.g., board states)
  • Timestamps associated with entries

If you choose to record location information in SQMD as textual input, that information is stored alongside your other textual content. (If you do not record location information, no location collected or stored by the app.)

iCloud Sync

SQMD uses iCloud to sync your SQMD data across devices signed into the same Apple ID.

  • iCloud sync is handled through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure.
  • SQMD does not receive or access the contents of your iCloud data.
  • If you use SQMD on multiple Apple devices, iCloud sync helps ensure your data is consistent without manual export/import.

Note: iCloud availability depends on your device settings and Apple services. SQMD does not control iCloud’s operation.

What SQMD Does Not Collect

SQMD does not collect:

  • Account information (there are no SQMD accounts)
  • Analytics or usage telemetry
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or tracking data
  • Purchase history beyond what Apple provides for App Store transactions
  • Any data from other apps or services

Third-Party Services

SQMD does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Apple services (such as iCloud and the App Store) may process limited information necessary to provide their services. Please refer to Apple’s policies for details.

Data Sharing

SQMD does not (and will never) sell, rent, or share your SQMD data.

We do not have access to your deck data, entries, or attached media—your deck, your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because SQMD stores data on your device and in your iCloud account:

  • You can delete entries, decks, or media from within the app.
  • If you delete SQMD from your device, your local data is removed.
  • iCloud-synced data is managed within your Apple account and device settings.

Children’s Privacy

SQMD is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date above. If changes are significant, we may also provide an in-app notice.
